Tried to have a garage sale, my OCD clutter phobia was on overdrive and my closets were calling for a cleaning. Mistakely, I chose late June to have this summer barrel of fun...rain and freezing! Yah!
I have so far sold 4 dollars in two days, and have had less visitors then come to this site in an hour! Maybe I should just do it here!
I figure it's not hitting the right clientele base, I don't own crap and dustables just as figurines.... I have alot of contemporary stuff that just didn't fit into the color scheme I planned for this house. Oh well.
It's only 9am and this thing is supposed to go until 2. 5 bucks bets I don't last past 11am.
In other general news: making my pantry full and o'plenty. Working hard. Nephew is to be born Sunday or Monday (4 years of trying and 3 invitros later).
Starting to wonder what's up with my body: cramping every day even just a week past period and the periods are lasting a long time (7days) last few months. I think it's time for a visit to "swoon" doctor.

A long day
Gonna post about groceries tomorrow, but just to update everyone as to my last few days, here's the review...
Baby tempie visited Friday, Ash was awake and was able to really able to see her for a bit. She got a bath in our sink and spent some time being a fussy 17 day old baby. Ash spent most of the visit holding her and was at ease doing it... I was jealous, I wanted to hold her too!
I had a doctor's appt, my first one where the focus was fertility. I wanted to find a doctor in my area that I could potentialy see through pregnancy and beyond. I think I found him. He walks in with sheets on fertility for me to have and was very honest and non judging about how long we'd been trying. Realistically, if we get to the year point then we'll start the testing, but for now he wants me to focus on eating healthy (and more) and gain a little weight as he thinks my body mass is low...21 and he'd liked to it be a little higher. He also asked if after he was successful in helping us conceive if we had an on and family doctor in mind, after I told him I'd love to stick with him, he said he was pleased, as he loves being part of the making of a baby and then be able to watch the baby grow. Swoon.
Omg. I hate the new generation of teens. They ransacked my store and started a fist fight, started a fire in the parking lot of another store, and broke glass and graffitied at yet another one. (sounds like a full on riot, but really just a couple thousand kids loitering at a mall for too long) All during some skate festival outside in the mall parking lot. My store is the the store people used to get dressed up to come to, today they walked thru it without shirts on and cursing. I got to be on escalator police duty today, it was really super fun and all day I went from being polite about it at 11am to nearly cursing back by 7pm. When did an escalator become a toy? Seriously.

Early Birthday Amazingness..
Seriously, Ash has had his fair share of duds when it comes to gifts. See here.
But, this morning, a full 5 days before my birthday...a UPS truck happened upon my door. Ash was still asleep and I tossed the package on the table thinking it was another tool for his xbox controller thing he's making. He stumbled down the stairs and told me that I'd better open it.
Low and behold! New Iphone! OMG OMG OMG
We agreed that he needed one at the beginning of this year and that I would wait until the end of the year to get my own, due to how expensive it is. I have been hinting at wanting one, if he asked me a question about an address or movie times, I would bring out my imaginary iphone and pretend to find the answer. Hint Taken!
It came at a great time. I knew this month was not working, only 5 days until my period and I have zero symptoms...including pms symptoms (odd, really). My boobs haven't started hurting and I don't have super acne face. I can't even claim "maybe pregnant" symptoms, dammit!
Did you see both my period and my birthday are coming on the same day...super excited, let me tell you.

The Justification of Sleep
The one thing that I can truly say I enjoy because I do not have a child is sleep. I am not a morning person normally and fight getting up before 8am. I justify sleeping in until 9am or so because I don't have a kid yet, and I know this precious time will never be the same when a little one takes over that title "precious." I love sleep, but I know I would love being a mom more.
I know there are probably other things I'd be giving up, but for now the only thing I know for sure would go down the drain is the sleep thing.
And on that note of "giving up things," I thought I would speak to the idea that having a baby or becoming a mother is so that people would pay attention to that person.
I am Jack's complete lack of surprise.
This idea is wrong.
Spending 9 months experiencing any of the following symptoms is not worth any amount of attention someone may seek: nausea, hemorrhoids, stretch marks, fat ankles, or a much larger uterus that may never be the same. No coffee or alcohol or PEANUT butter, my favorite things! Then after baby comes, it is all about the baby. No one comes to your house to hang out with you, especially since you haven't showered for two days and you are waddling like a 8lb baby has just come out of your vagina. They want to smell the baby smell and hold the sack of potatoes that is a crying bundle of joy. From the moment you have a child, life becomes about that little one, not you. Everything you do is no longer about you, you will lose friends, your habits have to change, and you no longer get the best gifts at Christmas...hell, you may not get any, unless you count the new Dora Movie your child got so you don't have to watch the old one anymore.
So, if attention is what a person seeks, the last thing in the world they would want to do is have a child. Instead, tell your parents you are becoming a wican, get some sleeve tattoos, and start showing up to all family functions drunk, hell, drive there drunk... that will get you the attention you apparently seek.

Welcome to Frustration.
Damn this OV watch. First the battery had to be replaced, it was a trial that really took about an hour of Ash and I working together on...next came the crying fits of it not reading...finally at the point I was ready to throw it down and give up, I tried one last time, and behold, it started reading. The rough part now is that in order to get a reading at all, I have to tighten it so much on my wrist that it's uncomfortable.
After this first two days (barely in to the second day) I really have some major frustrations with the watch. It doesn't really read. Most times I check, it reads "not reading".. sometimes I get "skin too dry" after adding a little water to my wrist to move the sensor along (seriously, I moisturize twice a day). The thing I most worry about is that even after 14 days of checking over and over again to see if it is working, the watch will be a failure in my quest to determine when I ovulate.
Anyone tried this? Can you alleviate my frustrations and guide me to the correct way to use this damned thing?

Trivs for Shivs...
Each week playing trivia is my main past time. This week we WON! $17 dollars each, booyah! The shitty part was we always have a celebration shot with the winnings, I got to toast with water!
We've actually won 6 or so times this year, and each time is just as sweet as the last. It's five topics a week, 10 questions per topic...
The best part of trivia at Paddy Coyne's is our name choosing ceremony held each week. Most teams keep the same name, but each week we try to find something more creative than the last as our new name. Not only does this eliminate us from the "haters club" (ie teams that win too much) but the announcer gives out the team scores after each round and just hearing him announce our name is fun itself.
Over the last year, our most memorable names have been:
Shamwow Hooker Beatdown (this week, dedicated to the shamwow guy news this week)
Jews for Jesus
Tacomatose (Tacoma is where trivia is)
Beaten with an umbrella ella ella eh
Sarah Palin doesn't believe in Dinosaurs
Obamarama

And another thing.....#2
So I forgot to mention that while trying to pick out the "right" pregnancy tests at Target, I had two ladies wander past quite a few times and seem to giggle. I realize that I look super young, but really? I am 27, not 17.....if you really want to know why I just standing there, why don't you ask! I just couldn't remember which tests were the highest recommended for 25 HCG or less!
OCD with the tests
Seriously, I am ridiculous. I bought three First Response Tests while picking up the Pledge thingamobob. Of course, as I am only 6 days past when I assume I ovulated.....it would only be stupid of me to take a test at this point....but I did anyway. My reasoning...."well, it's just 4 dollars for that ONE test, and I didn't buy a mocha today....sooooooo alright!" The first day I really should test is MAYBE March 31st. So 4 days to go....and in my infinite wisdom and craziness, I may be out of tests by then!

OMG!

Have you seen this? The Pledge Fabric Sweeper commercial just blasted on my tv...and I am smitten. Holy Cripe Batman! Not only will this have been amazing back when we had fabric sofas in the living room and a beagle (I'm talking to you Bustah!) that sheds like a lab....but for our now cat hair magnet of a bedspread....
Seriously. I will be picking this up tomorrow the moment I wake up. My biggest "I wonder" has always been the sheer amount of animal hair covering the floor and seemingly every surface of this house. A baby crawling around and putting god knows what in it's mouth has me dreaming of infants coughing up hair balls.
Hopefully, this new gadget will sit right next to my new Dyson....in the "Animal Hair Ninjas" section of the house.

We Won!
A few years back, my husband completed his duties on getting one of the worst gifts ever for me on Valentines. . . a hello kitty steering wheel cover. I let him have it, and he's gotten progressively better at gift giving ever since.
Speed up to now, I entered his gift (that he will never forget was bad) in a contest for worst gift ever on Dadcentric, a web blog written by a bunch of funny as hell dads. We won.
The prize was flowers, and since I was the one who posted to the contest, we thought it best to give the flowers to his mom. We surprised her at work (a hospital) on Friday with a bunch of roses delivered from UPS and Proflowers.com. She's a great lady, whose really celebrating the single life finally after years of unfortunate guys who weren't worth her amazingness. Needless to say, it was all worth getting that steering cover years ago!
