A wee bit of a problem.

Just a wee one. And really it's not a problem.

A lot of thoughts going through my head and I just want confirmation this is real before I discuss any further.

An unsuccessful attempt

Tried to have a garage sale, my OCD clutter phobia was on overdrive and my closets were calling for a cleaning. Mistakely, I chose late June to have this summer barrel of fun...rain and freezing! Yah!

I have so far sold 4 dollars in two days, and have had less visitors then come to this site in an hour! Maybe I should just do it here!

I figure it's not hitting the right clientele base, I don't own crap and dustables just as figurines.... I have alot of contemporary stuff that just didn't fit into the color scheme I planned for this house. Oh well.

It's only 9am and this thing is supposed to go until 2. 5 bucks bets I don't last past 11am.

In other general news: making my pantry full and o'plenty. Working hard. Nephew is to be born Sunday or Monday (4 years of trying and 3 invitros later).

Starting to wonder what's up with my body: cramping every day even just a week past period and the periods are lasting a long time (7days) last few months. I think it's time for a visit to "swoon" doctor.

To buy or to not buy....

Seriously.

I know from earlier posts that the whole pregnancy test thing might be worthless, and I say might be because I think I willed myself into believing my body won't show positive on a test like my mom....who conceived 4 unplanned children "just by looking at someone."

But I still can't seem to release the feeling of wanting to test, just in case.

Plus, now that I know I don't have that magical 29 day cycle thing, I could start tomorrow or a week from now. Thanks body! I can't wait to run to the bathroom, tampon in hand 15 times a day!

I am trying to come up with a game plan now that I have a new doctor and a brighter outlook (okay, a dim outlook, but it's better than dark) on this whole thing... see post here.

New things to try and ways to no longer save the money I was saving by stealing groceries -

Basal Thermometer
First Response Fertility Test
First Response Ovulation Test

Any thoughts on these?

And we meet again.

Crazy lady made an appearance at my work yesterday. She's the one who predicted that I would be pregnant with a boy in may. She has since changed her mind, how weird coansidering it's may and low and
Behold... I'm not pregnant.

She now says I need brussel sprouts and hard greens. How bizarre.

I think I'll stick to reading my books and trying to eat more than just a candy bar for lunch. Thank you very much.

Off to enjoy my birthday.

Remembering what this really is about...

And we're back to Pregnancy talk.

All of these ovulation calendars vary on when I should be fertile enough to make a baby. The one at the bottom of this blog says I'll be ovulating Saturday. First Response's website says Sunday. Another Monday. Don't even get me started on what the watch says...if it wasn't a gift from my brother and his wife, I'd have chucked it out a moving vehicle Day 2.

Jeez. How could they all be different? Isn't there a general formula for these things? The only way to really cover the bases is to just start doing it every other day starting Easter?!

I'm really trying this month to focus on drinking more water, downing less caffeine, eating better food (no more Snickers lunch and dinners). My thoughts are that is could hurt, hell...I'll try anything to help it move along.

Welcome to Frustration.

Damn this OV watch. First the battery had to be replaced, it was a trial that really took about an hour of Ash and I working together on...next came the crying fits of it not reading...finally at the point I was ready to throw it down and give up, I tried one last time, and behold, it started reading. The rough part now is that in order to get a reading at all, I have to tighten it so much on my wrist that it's uncomfortable.

After this first two days (barely in to the second day) I really have some major frustrations with the watch. It doesn't really read. Most times I check, it reads "not reading".. sometimes I get "skin too dry" after adding a little water to my wrist to move the sensor along (seriously, I moisturize twice a day). The thing I most worry about is that even after 14 days of checking over and over again to see if it is working, the watch will be a failure in my quest to determine when I ovulate.

Anyone tried this? Can you alleviate my frustrations and guide me to the correct way to use this damned thing?

If Only...

While Ashley's little sisters are here, we tend to eat out alot. Case in point, what can be barely called chinese "Panda Express" (although quite tasty) is what we devoured at about 9pm last night. The girls have been nagging us about babies for about two years now, so Ashley and I have always been honest with them about the progress. They really want a niece or nephew now.

So, when we got to the fortune cookies, we all picked one out of the 15 they gave us and opened up. Mine is pictured above in the picture, the girls see this as a definite sign and promptly wrote their own to match below. Mine states: Any Doubts You May Have Will Disappear Early This Month. Theirs: Your Sister In Law is Prego.

I honestly couldn't tell you if it's true, as I didn't pick up any more tests last night, so I'll just wait until tomorrow to test and find out. Either way tomorrow is the do or die day, onto the next month of wonders and a new OV watch to try out... I just need to get a battery for it!

don't do it...

Don't take another test.
Don't take another test....
Don't do it.
Don't!

Ah hell, as of tomorrow morning I'll only be 8 DPO (days past ovulation) so testing would be ridiculous and stupid "money down the m*f*ing drain." But, I won't lie and say that the temptation isn't killing me.

Before I went to post, I checked over some past symptoms and they do seem quite alike. Dry mouth, vivid dreams....although I had a tiny bit of heartburn the other day (odd for me) and a sore throat. And massive amounts of PMS like grouchy I suck moments today. I haven't had any implantation bleeding, but I think that comes a little later anyhow.

This crap sucks.

Crazies

When people find out you are trying to conceive, they tend to get all psychic on you.

One of the ladies I work with swears up and down that she is super psychic and knows that I won't get pregnant until I stop thinking about it....but is also able to tell me that I will have two babies within the next few years (wow, what a prediction!)

Another lady asked if she could feel my aura and waved her hand over my belly to predict my babyness abilities. She was able to predict a boy then a girl, with my first pregnancy to happen in May. If she turns out to be right....I'll piss myself...at least she is a little more specific in her psychic abilities than my coworker is.

The OV Watch...

I received a phone call today from my younger brother (his wife now 6 months pregnant with their first after a long time of trying). They were offering up their OV watch to me as a helpful predictor of ovulation! I had never heard of this gadget before and was quite surprised at the offer. I guess they had received it thru their doctor and had tried it for a few months before going to the more direct method of Invitro.

I completely appreciated the thought, and I love the idea that I can look to my brother for advice in these matters.... but it still is weird to hear him talk about sex and when to hit the sack for good baby making!

Can't wait to try it out..

The Sudden Woes of I don't know....

I don't know if I can enjoy a coffee or a martini with friends... the worst part about the two week window is the sacrifice of caffeine and telling friends "no, but thanks." Shouldn't Evolution have come up with a way to tell a woman she's pregnant immediately so she doesn't ruin her unborn child's life.
